JOB
Summary:
The CAD Designer will work with Project Managers, Project Engineers and SME to manage and create all drafted documentation associated with projects. The documentation will primarily be created using SOLIDWORKS, and the scope of the job will span all elements of the project life cycle inclusive of gathering project requirements, preliminary and final design, procurement and As-Built of fixtures and materials, project monitoring and control.

Responsibilities:
Prepare design drawings, details, and sketches from sketches, concepts or mark-ups provided by Customer engineering or project management staff. Draw and plot drawings to scale, as required
Checks drawing plots versus the project input for correctness and conformance to standards
Work under the direction of the PMs, Engineers, and SME's to design complex drawings, such as test fixtures, fabrication documents, routine design layouts, detailed drawings, and Keyplans
Prepare complex drawings (e.g., Keyplans, detailed layouts, and installation details)
Prepare and work with bills of material (BOMs) and other construction documents
Create and markup existing PDF documents using Adobe
Other duties as assigned
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge of CAD software and drawing programs
Knowledge of architectural and engineering design principles
Ability to coordinate and consult with engineers to complete projects
Ability to transform initial rough product designs into working documents using CAD software
Ability to meet tight deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced environment
Ability to maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing relevant technical publications
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Solid match and analytical skills
EDUCTION AND
Experience:
Associate degree in engineering, architecture, design, or a similar field preferred
CAD design certification strongly preferred
2-4 years of experience as a design drafter or a similar role
Experience working with CAD software and drawing programs (SOLIDWORKS preferred)

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
